- I want to put a modem in an XT class computer so my wife can get her
- e-mail of our local ISP. Everything I look at says "386 or higher". I
- think this is for the benefit of the bundled software but ain't quite
- sure.
-
- So, am I spitting in the wind or is putting in a modem a "no-brainer".
- I understand that I'd have to use some DOS based comm software but
- that shouldn't really be a problem. (Or is it.... hmmmm, my version of
- trumpet is windows based.... maybe more trouble than it's worth....)
-
- Any suggestions?
